The Department of Education

In 2003  an informal education program with emphasis on women's values was started. The Institute of Informal Education offers short courses in practical subjects such as candy making, gourmet cooking, a variety of crafts, and also techniques for teaching families how to recycle trash including organic waste which is transformed into compost and used in community vegetable gardens. The institute has also a program to teach illiterate women how to read and write and for those who want to finish primary and high school through an agreement with an accredited school in the Agua Blanca district, we can offer studies virtually free of charge. The Association also provides psychological and legal support to all its affiliates.

Once we mastered the hand made paper process, members of the Association started to recycle plastic and other non-organic waste.  Empty wine bottles, particularly former champagne bottles, can be cut to make excellent tumblers. and worms from California transform organic waste into compost for use in vegetable gardens.
